Anaesthetic Jobs in Australia

Let YDJ source you the most rewarding Anaesthetist jobs

YDJ’s foray into anaesthetics began from working closely with country and rural GP doctors who had ANS diplomas and advanced diplomas. From there, YDJ has grown to cover public and private hospital networks, Australia wide.

Anaesthetics or Anaesthesiology in Australia is highly developed, and has some of the highest practice standards in the world. There has been a huge investment in Anaesthesia facilities recently, resulting in most hospitals in Australia having access to the latest equipment.

Australia has gained a well-earned reputation for offering some of the highest calibre jobs in Anaesthetics across the globe. With surgical procedures on the rise, so too is the demand for Anaesthetists across our public and private hospital networks.

Most Anaesthetists in FTE roles work 38 to 40-hour weeks, and there is usually some on-call requirement. In Australia, Anaesthetists are usually employed to cover theatre and a pain service, whilst Intensive Care (ICU) is usually covered by a separate group of Intensivists (who are commonly of an anaesthetic background). It is extremely unusual for Anaesthetists to be required to look after both ICU and operating theatres.

Benefit from our expert Anaesthetics recruitment consultants, who will get to know your career and lifestyle goal, in order to provide informed advice on the various Anaesthetic job options to suit your needs.
