New Zealand Doctors can start travelling to and from Australia quarantine-free from 19th April

It is a win-win outcome for New Zealand locum and permanent doctors with the trans-Tasman travel set to open — with both countries benefitting from this occurring.

When will the New Zealand travel bubble start?

Australians will be allowed to travel across the ditch quarantine-free technically from Monday, April 19.
An exemption to leave Australia is also not required for those travelling to New Zealand.
As for kiwis looking to come to Australia, the one-way bubble that began last October is still in place, with all states and territories except for Western Australia taking part.

Where can I travel to?

The bubble means Australians can fly to anywhere in New Zealand, as long as there are flights operating.
Air New Zealand has put on daily flights between Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney from this Friday, with Qantas and Jetstar also set to ramp up flights.
It's hoped people will take the opportunity while borders to other countries are shut, to travel around NZ and Australia and inject some much-needed money into its economy.

Do you have to have a COVID vaccine?

No, you don't have to have one to travel to New Zealand or to come back to Australia.
